Membership Benefits

Membership in the Connecticut Biodiesel/Bioheat Association will include all persons and entities who have interest in promoting the CBBA mission.

The CBBA has created different Levels of Membership to encourgae involvement from all supporters of biodiesel. Provisions have been made in the dues structure to tailor these Levels of Membership to provide proportional representation to all based upon the Member's varying degrees of financial commitment to the organization.

CBBA Benefits Received According to Class of Membership

(i) Receive newsletter, general membership meeting notices, and other communications from the CBBA.

(ii) Receive benefit of promotional opportunities, such as advertising, articles, press releases, and/or weblink placed on website; invitation to make presentation to CBBA meetings and other events and functions; etc.

(iii) Designated seat on Board of Directors for this class of membership.

(iv) Direct participation in public relations efforts.

(v) Direct access to legislative affairs through Government Relations firm.

(vi) Retain voting rights as a member of CBBA.

CBBA Membership Levels

Individual Members
Membership Dues: $100 per year
The Individual Member category of membership includes individuals who have an interest in promoting the commercial development, production, marketing, distribution and utilization of biodiesel and bioheat. The Individual Member will receive the CBBA newsletter, general membership notices and other correspondence from the CBBA and will be offered discounts on CBBA activities. Individuals from a diverse background are encouraged to join the SBBA to offer their support for this domestic, cleaner-burning and renewable energy source. Individual Members are also encouraged to share their opinions and recommendations on the conduct and efforts of the CBBA, but do not retain voting rights or a seat on the CBBA Board of Directors.

Supporting Members
Membership Dues: $250 per year
The Supporting Member category of membership includes individuals and allied commercial industry representatives with interest in promoting the commercial development, production, marketing, distribution and utilization of biodiesel and bioheat. Individuals from a diverse background are encouraged to join the SBBA to offer their support for this domestic, cleaner-burning and renewable energy source. Supporting Members are also encouraged to share their opinions and recommendations on the conduct and efforts of the CBBA, but do not retain voting rights or a seat on the CBBA Board of Directors.

Affiliate Members
Membership Dues: Free upon majority approval of Full Members
The Affiliate Member category of membership includes allied trade association representatives, government, educational and not-for-profit entities with interest in promoting the commercial development, production, marketing, distribution and utilization of biodiesel and bioheat. These Affiliate Members will be encouraged to participate in all activities of the association, including regular membership meetings and other networking opportunities, but do not retain voting rights or a seat on the CBBA Board of Directors.

The Affiliate Member will receive all the benefits of the Supporting Member and promotional opportunities, such as advertising, articles, press releases, and/or weblink placed on website; invitation to make presentation to CBBA meetings and other events and functions.

Associate Members
Membership Dues: $1,500 per year
TheAssociate Member category of membership includes individuals and allied commercial industry representatives with interest in promoting the commercial development, production, marketing, distribution and utilization of biodiesel and bioheat. These Associate Members will be encouraged to participate in all activities of the association, including regular membership meetings and other networking opportunities.

The Associate Member will receive all the benefits of the Affiliate Member and will be represented with at least one seat on the Board of Directors of the CBBA (currently three seats total). In addition, each Associate Member will be directly included in our public relations efforts through our Hartford-based PR firm.

Full Members
Membership Dues: $3,000 per year
The Full Member category of membership includes all members involved in the commercial production and/or distribution of biodiesel in Connecticut with interest in promoting the commercial development, production, marketing, distribution and utilization of biodiesel and bioheat. These Full Members will be encouraged to participate in all activities of the association, including regular membership meetings and other networking opportunities.

The Full Member will receive all the benefits of the Associate Member and will be represented with at least two seats on the Board of Directors of the CBBA (currently three seats total). In addition, each Full Member will be directly included in our legislative affairs through our Hartford based Government Relations firm and will retain full voting rights in the Association. This membership level assures the applicant will be involved in the most important, and most costly, work currently undertaken by the CBBA. The CBBA, through its contracted Government Relations firm, has developed extraordinary contacts in Connecticut’s state government and has proved very effective in proposing and influencing policies favorable to its members.
